I am writing this now because of the many instances I see of people getting caught in a trap especially those who are trying the hardest they can to understand this subject.
By now, most, if not all of you, know only too well of the Law of Action and [Opposite] Reaction.
In esoteric terms -
"That which you chase shall flee from you, that which which you fear will hunt you down and that which invalidate shall absolutely overpower you"
Take the statement "I want to get back to Source"
In the simple act of even uttering such a desire, one is AFFIRMING or ACKNOWLEDGING to Source that they are separate from it. The act of *trying* to "get back to Source" simply results in the opposite REACTION, which is to separate oneself further from it.
One IS Source. One can only BE Source - as Source is ALL THAT IS.
Any attempt to "connect with", "get back to", "get closer to" etc. it only perpetuates the second greatest of all illusions - SEPARATION. (The greatest of all is the SELF).
Be careful of words - the English language is littered with words that are designed to cause separation - like all the "isms" to begin with.
"He that does not grasp shall not let slip and fall"
This reminds me of something.
Whenever I have read many articles on OV, STM, and UE those who say they are channeling, and that Arch Angel Michael told them the message to say. Or Metatron (made the name up) told them the message Do they not know, it is the self who is channeling. Not sure I am saying this right. Let me try again by asking a question. Why do they see themselves separated and that it is an outside source speaking with them? It isn't, it is their self speaking to self and self is saying to share it, it's important for others to hear the message. See I use to shy way away from people saying they were channeling. It never felt right to me.
One day I was talking to Mary my friend and I told her how I felt about channelers. I told her "it doesn't feel right, after the first article I read even though the article was a good message, it just didn't feel right and I can't read them". She asked me why I felt that way, and I truly did not know why!!! She explained, "you know there is no separation right"? I said "yes of course, we are all one". She, then said, "there is no judgment in what I am going to tell you, but for what ever reason the channelers, feel the need to say it is from such and such a source, when it is really coming from themselves". WOW, what an enlightenment that was for me!!! I read them now.
What do you think Michael???
In *reality*, there IS nothing but Source.
I just listen to the message. Then I know in my heart whether it is truth or not.
If not, I discard it.
If so, I incorporate what I can from it into my cognitive framework. The messenger is irrelevant (along with his perception of self) - only the message is relevant.
Ultimately, it is all "God getting to know himself" ♥
I love the way you summed that up about how it is the message that is relevant, and whether or not the message vibrates in your Divine Heart with the vibration of Truth...and we are all aspects of God getting to know our Creator.
"We ARE the very processes we seek to understand" - from Recapitulation by Sylvester Christie
"He that is not busy being born is busy dying" - Bob Dylan
I feel the same Linda but I do not read channelled messages.
Maybe I am being judgemental here. I helped a friend run weekly medium events for about two years, most were fake. I never told my friend because she enjoyed running these events. On one occasion I had to say something, he was so fake and the ego was over the top. She just said I know what you mean, she trip him up without anyone knowing but he did.
Anyway that is what put me off, if they start with my beloveds I am out. Having said that I do read some channelling. Like with mediumship some are authentic.
I have always been of the opinion that "channellers" feel the need to quote their "source" as being some Divine or extraterrestrial entity to get more attention than they would if they said it was from themselves. ie. When Archangel Michael "speaks". it would command more attention than Fred Wally from Wisconsin.
This is not to say their messages are always untrue or full of baloney, as I have heard some great channellings - eg. Bashar's "Finding your highest excitement" (below). If you can disregard his comical showmanship, Bashar delivers a VERY important message.
I have listened to Bashar. He's okay, I do find him somewhat odd, but I also overlook it. No judgment on him. I have watched the above video before. It's good.
Thankfully, I learned how to observe anything with detachment - and only take onboard that which is useful to me. In this regard, I feel it is a profound message. Everything in this world is trying to take your attention away from that which you Love the most - and the only true compass for finding that again is *fun* - what we had a more keen sense of when we were children. ♥
Yes indeed Michael. You can't go wrong if you always let what brings you joy or peace be your compass.
Suffering does indeed bring about a greater awareness and understanding of Love - but once your suffering is completed, then there is light at the end of the tunnel. And it is not like you are suddenly free of problems. You find yourself better equipped to handle those problems - and it is more joyous tending to them. There is also a sense of great achievement in the realisation that any suffering you have experienced has all been self-inflicted - and when you take responsibility for that, you now have control over it.
I totally agree Michael, thank you for the reminder, it is easy to forget.
